Anyone who has had the pleasure of hanging out with Kiran the last couple of years knows how much he loves hugs. He is very … insistent … on when he wants a hug. He not only reaches and grabs for you to pull you in, but he also enjoys moving your head to just the right position (for his comfort, not yours!)

There is something to be gleaned from the earnestness of his request. It is all body language – arms reaching out to you, pulling you in – but you have no doubt about what he is wanting from you.

Sometimes I think he would sit and hug and snuggle all day every day, if we’d let him. It’s his favorite thing, giving and receiving hugs from his people.
